South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. They also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol with 4,600 staff serving a local population of 1.3 million people. SLAM have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient and community services. Providing inpatient care for approximately 5,300 people each year and SLAM treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Croydon.
As well as serving the communities of south London, SLAM provide more than 50 specialist services for children and adults across the UK including perinatal services, eating disorders, psychosis and autism.

Are you a CPN ready to help transform Mental Health Services? We have a number of long-term placements and flexible working options for Community Psychiatric Nurses with mental health experience to join the staff Bank, for South London and Maudsley. Providing services for adults of working age, adults with learning difficulties and other people in the London/Beckenham area.
- To provide effective assessment and case management to people with complex non-psychotic disorders, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions
- To act as care co-ordinator under the CPA process if indicated
- To provide leadership for students and/or junior staff, through supervision and appraisal
- To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the service
- To supervise students on practice placements
- To carry out MDT activities e.g. duty responsibilities
