What is The Bank Network®?

The Bank Network® is a collaboration of 4 trusts, enabling you to work flexibly across neighbouring trusts without having to complete any additional processes or procedures. Therefore, it couldn’t be easier for you to find a shift that fits in your needs.

The bank network gives you access to shifts across the following trusts:

• Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust
• East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust
• The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust

What does this mean for me?

If you are permanently employed member of staff working under Admin & Clerical, Allied Health Professionals, Health Care Scientists, Nursing & Midwifery and Estates & Facilities at either one of the collaborative trusts and would like to work extra bank shifts through The Bank Network®, make sure you’re registered with NHS Professionals staff bank, then simply login to My:Bank and start booking shifts!

NHS Professionals Staff Bank

Who are we? Well … If a hospital cannot supply staff on a ward or area, due to increased demand, sickness, or common staff shortages, they need to call upon Bank staff. NHS Professionals works with trusts to develop ‘bank’ of highly skilled workers who want to work flexibly with the NHS.

Working through a staff bank helps a trust reduce their reliance on expensive agencies helping their spend go back into healthcare. Right now, we have over 130,000 members registered on our bank from various roles, grades and specialities all saving the NHS over £70 million per year which is reinvested back into each client trust.
