Traveling to Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe Hospitals
Bus
There are several routes you can take depending on where you live. Click here to check the latest bus routes and timetables. The bus stop is outside the John Hampden unit at Stoke Mandeville. The bus stop is a 3-minute walk from the main entrance at Wycombe.
Train
Aylesbury station is the closest to Stoke Mandeville (7 minutes by car or taxi or a 30-minute walk). Chiltern railways operate mainline services to and from Aylesbury.

- Up to 30 minutes: free

Parking
Staff parking is free at Stoke Mandeville in designated areas.

- Select New User, your username will be your email (this can be your personal or NHS email) and you then set a memorable password.
- Please ensure you read the FAQ and T&Cs as it provides necessary information about the permit and how it works.
- When asked to select your ‘Organisation’ on the application form, you will need to select NHSP.
Trust ID Access Card
It may be necessary for you to obtain a Trust ID card which will provide access to the department you will be working at. You will be advised by the local team if you require an ID card during onboarding.
Once your application and onboarding are complete, wait for your NHS Professionals ID badge to arrive in the post. Please do not book a shift at BHT until you have received your NSHP ID card if you are a Bank exclusive or Bank only member. Substantive staff do not require an NHSP ID card and will use their Trust ID card.
