Bank Member Advisory Group
Terms of reference
1. Purpose and role of the Bank Member Advisory Group
One of NHSP's strategic priorities is to put the bank member at the heart of what it does and improve their experience of doing business with us.
To enable this, we are setting up a Bank Member Advisory Group for Bank Only and Bank Exclusive members to provide a platform for the member voice and advise NHSP on improvements to the member experience.
The role of the Bank Member Advisory Group will be to:
- Consult, discuss and advise on developments, initiatives and projects designed to improve the bank member experience.
- Act as critical friends and “user test” new processes and services aimed at improving the bank member experience.
- Represent bank member colleagues and share key themes of satisfaction and dissatisfaction.
Please note that the Bank Member Advisory Group is not a forum to share or escalate individual issues or complaints and there are mechanisms in place for this.
2. Responsibilities of Members of the Advisory Group
Members of the Bank Member Advisory Group will be expected to:
- Attend quarterly meetings and engage and contribute to the meetings.
- Represent bank member colleagues and where necessary make decisions on their behalf.
- Carry out a small amount of work in between quarterly meetings where necessary (eg consult with bank member colleagues about specific issues and feedback to the Advisory Group).
- Attend one NHSP Member Panel event a year (sessions designed to enable NHSP staff and/or NHS Trusts to hear directly from bank members on their experience of doing business with NHSP and working at Trusts. The sessions generally last for one hour).
- Share the work and focus of the Advisory Groups with your colleagues and networks.
- Provide a short biography and photo for inclusion in a section on the NHSP website focused on outlining the work and membership of the Bank Member Advisory Group.
Members of the Advisory Group will be compensated for their time with a £30 voucher for attendance at each of the quarterly meetings and the small amount of work which these may lead to.

- Membership of the Advisory Group is for Bank Only and Bank Exclusive members only.
