Our online training providers are aligned with the wider NHS and Core Skills Framework and will help keep your training up to date. It’s important to make sure you’re always up to date with the latest mandatory training requirements, so together we can ensure that patient care and safety are at the highest standards and so you can continue to work shifts.

Mandatory Training – Improved process

We have reviewed and improved the process for checking and validating candidates and NHSP Bank Members training requirements, meaning there is a reduction in the amount mandatory and statutory training you need to complete.

Bank Members and candidates looking to join can now passport previous relevant training modules. If you have recently completed training from a training provider in line with Skills for Health requirements, you will be able to submit a record of previous training as evidence for validation by our Education and Training team.

 

How do I evidence previous training?

Evidence should be in the form of certification/screen shots including:

• Your name
• The training completion date including course title and level of competency from the list of organisations below

Please forward evidence to NHSP Education and Training Team, trainingcertificates@nhsprofessionals.nhs.uk or validation. The team will then update the certification onto your LearnSpace account, or inform you if the certification is not acceptable, within 5 working days. Once verified it will be uploaded onto your Learnspace account. You will only need to complete any NHSP Statutory/Mandatory that is outstanding on your Learnspace account.

 

List of acceptable documented evidence:

• NHS Trust Certificates
• NHS Trust Confirmation from Trust L&D Team
• NHS Trust ESR screenshot
• E-Learning for Healthcare certificate / summary
• University Certificates from Nursing, Midwifery or AHP programmes

 

List of acceptable training providers:

Any training provider that has a quality kitemark from one of these organisations:

• Skills for Care: Find an endorsed provider
• Skills for Health: Find an endorsed provider
• Skills for Health: Healthcare Quality Mark
• One Awards: One Awards Quality Mark

Royal Colleges:

• Royal College of Nursing
• Royal College of General Practitioners: RCGP Educational Accreditation

All Royal Colleges that have membership of:

Depending on your role you may need to attend a practical training session.
